When Ananta Met Many Anantas: Sabyasachi Mishra Promotes ‘Ananta’ in Angul with Young Fans
Ananta Meets His Juniors in Angul: A Unique Promotion for the Upcoming Odia Film
Bhubaneswar: Odia cinema star Sabyasachi Mishra recently visited Angul to promote his upcoming film Ananta, based on the timeless short story Randipua Ananta by legendary Odia writer Byasakabi Fakir Mohan Senapati. During his visit to the Divyajyoti Multiplex, Mishra was welcomed by a heartwarming sight — numerous children dressed as the titular character, Ananta.
Sharing images from the event, Sabyasachi Mishra expressed his excitement:
“And it begins… Ananta’s game. This evening, the hall promotion of Raja cinema ‘Ananta’ has started in a new way from Divyajyoti Multiplex of Angul. Many little children in the form of Ananta joined me to unveil the hall poster of Ananta. A must for the hall cinema industry. When many halls are closed in Odisha, by upgrading its own cinema hall, Angul’s Divyajyoti Multiplex has definitely become an example. I am confident that the people of Angul will enjoy Ananta to the fullest in Raja. LOVE YOU ANGUL.”
Originally titled Randi Pua Ananta, the film’s name was changed to Ananta after public feedback raised concerns over the use of the word “Randi,” which some felt was too harsh. The decision to rename the film reflects the makers’ sensitivity to audience sentiments, while still honoring the powerful narrative crafted by Fakir Mohan Senapati.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sabyasachi Mohapatra and starring Sabyasachi Mishra in the lead, Ananta is set to release during the upcoming Raja festival. With its strong literary roots and emotional depth, the film promises to be a memorable addition to Odia cinema.
