‘Dagaraa Pimpudi’ Out Now: Supriya Nayak Brings Rhythm and Energy to KANKANA’s First Single

Bhubaneswar: The makers of the upcoming Odia film KANKANA have released “Dagaraa Pimpudi”, the much-awaited first single from the film, featuring actress Supriya Nayak in a striking and never-seen-before avatar.

Described as a song packed with rhythm, emotion and energy, Dagaraa Pimpudi offers audiences another glimpse into the unique and mysterious world of KANKANA. The song is now available for audiences to watch, listen to and share.

The track has been composed by Somesh Satpathy, while popular singer Aseema Panda has lent her voice to the song. The lyrics have been penned by Ranjan Nayak, with music arrangement and programming by Abhishek Panigrahi.

Apart from Supriya Nayak, the song also features Udit Guru and Bhabani Shankar Subudhi, adding further energy to the visually vibrant number.

The release comes after the makers had built anticipation around Supriya’s new avatar by unveiling promotional glimpses of the song. The actress had earlier teased fans about her transformation into the character of “Dagaraa Pimpudi”, describing the number as a high-energy musical experience.

Dagaraa Pimpudi is the first single from KANKANA, the upcoming horror thriller directed by Prithvi Raj Patnaik. The film stars Supriya Nayak, Ankita Mohanty, Suryamayee Mohapatra and Choudhury Jayaprakash Das in key roles.

Produced by Deepak Kumar Mohapatra and Bhabani Shankar Subudhi under the banner of DB Motion Picturez, KANKANA explores a dark world inspired by Odisha’s folklore, blending myth, mystery and supernatural horror.

The film is scheduled to hit theatres on September 18, 2026.
