Bhubaneswar: The wait is finally over for Odia cinema fans. The makers of the much-anticipated collaboration between actor Amlan and director Aswin Tripathy have officially unveiled the title of their upcoming film as Danger Devdas.

A first-look announcement released on social media introduces Amlan in and as Danger Devdas, promising a high-octane commercial entertainer slated for release in 2026.
Presented by Lumbini Production and produced by Subhra Pattnaik, the film is being promoted as one of the year’s biggest mass action entertainers.

The announcement describes the film as “a super powerful story packed with raw emotion, high-voltage action and whistle-worthy moments,” while teasing audiences with the line, “Not every hero follows the rules… Some create their own legacy.” The makers have also confirmed that the film’s first look will be unveiled soon.

The project marks the first-ever collaboration between director Aswin Tripathy and actor Amlan, bringing together two names currently enjoying successful runs in the Odia film industry.

Director Aswin Tripathy last delivered Kangula, which emerged as a box-office success and earned appreciation for its engaging narrative and commercial appeal. Meanwhile, Amlan is currently riding high on the success of Shikar, which continues to perform well in theatres and has received a strong response from audiences.

With Danger Devdas, expectations are soaring among moviegoers, who are eager to witness Amlan in a powerful new avatar under Aswin Tripathy’s direction.
