Odia Film Shikar Completes 50 Days in Theatres, Amlan–Elina Pair Wins Audience Appreciation

Bhubaneswar: The Odia action-thriller Shikar has completed a successful 50-day run in theatres, emerging as one of the biggest box-office successes of the season. Released during the Raja festival, the film has continued to draw audiences through the Rath Yatra festivities, with viewers praising its gripping crime-thriller narrative, high-octane action sequences, and the on-screen chemistry between lead actors Amlan Das and Elina Samantaray.

After a gap of several years, Amlan’s return to the big screen has been warmly received by audiences, with the actor enjoying a strong theatrical run. His pairing with Elina has also been widely appreciated, adding to the film’s popularity.

Produced under the Moon TV Movies banner, Shikar has entertained audiences throughout the festive season. The film also received an enthusiastic response during a special screening at Kendrapara Sanskruti Bhavan on the occasion of the Bahuda Yatra.

Produced by Sachikanta Jena and directed by Mrutyunjaya Sahu, Shikar features Amlan Das, Elina Samantaray, Supriya Nayak, Ankit, and other prominent actors in key roles.

The story, screenplay, dialogues, and title track have been penned by Priyabrata Panda.
The film’s cinematography has been handled by veteran cinematographer Pratap Rout, while Rajesh Das has edited the movie. Music has been composed by Baidyanath Dash, choreography is by Amit Nayak, and Pranaya Jethi has served as the Creative Head while overseeing the film’s publicity and promotions.

Amlan’s action-packed performance and Elina’s portrayal of a lawyer have drawn special praise from audiences. Renowned Odia satirist Gyan Hota also makes a memorable appearance as a lawyer, providing moments of humour that have been well received.
