Bhubaneswar: After the success of his last film Pushkara, actor Sabyasachi Mishra is back with a powerful new role in the upcoming movie Randi Pua Ananta. The film is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sabyasachi Mohapatra and produced by Amara Studios in association with Kumar Pictures.
As part of the film’s promotion, Mishra recently visited Odasingi village in Ganjam district, where he interacted with fans and shared insights into his challenging role.
Speaking to the media, Mishra revealed that he underwent a dramatic physical transformation for the character. “I normally weigh around 75 kg, but for this role, I had to gain more than 105 kg, as the character demanded it,” he said. “It was incredibly challenging, but I’m grateful to Mohapatra sir for having faith in me.”
The film is based on a story by iconic Odia writer Fakir Mohan Senapati. Expressing his gratitude, Mishra said, “It was my fortune to portray a character from a story penned by Odisha’s literary legend, Fakir Mohan Senapati. Working with a visionary like Sabyasachi Mohapatra, who has brought numerous national honors to Odisha, is a dream come true.”
He also thanked Amara Muzik and Kumar Pictures for shaping the film into a grand commercial entertainer. “There’s so much to share about this film, and I will reveal everything slowly… Ananta’s mischief has just begun! But first, tell me honestly—how did you feel about the first look?” Mishra teased.
The filming of Randi Pua Ananta is complete, and the movie is set for a theatrical release during the Raja festival.
Mishra was last seen in Pushkara, directed by Subhransu Das.
