‘Dandakali’ Trailer Released, Goddess Arrives to Deliver Justice

Bhubaneswar, September 7: The official trailer of the upcoming Odia film ‘Dandakali’ has been released, offering a glimpse into a gripping tale of faith, injustice and divine intervention. Directed by Sudhanshu Mohan Sahoo and produced by Rajashree Ghosh, the film portrays Maa Dandakali as a divine force who arrives to deliver justice and stand against wrongdoing.

The trailer showcases a conflict where injustice and suffering create the need for divine intervention, with Maa Dandakali emerging as a powerful symbol of justice and protection. The narrative appears to blend devotional elements with drama, action and emotion, promising a story rooted in faith while addressing the triumph of justice over evil.

The film features an ensemble cast led by Sidhant Mahapatra, Mahesweta Ray, Suryamayee Mohapatra, Chitrasen Ghosh, Trupti Mirambika, Usasi Mishra, Krishna Kar, Choudhary Jayprakash, Udit Guru and Elli Padhy.

Produced under the Rajashree Cinecrafts banner, the film has Sukanta Kumar Sahu as executive producer and Deepak Kumar as cinematographer. The story has been written by Abhishikta Mishra, while Dillip Choudhary has handled the screenplay and dialogues.
Music has been composed by Prem Anand, with lyrics by Bapu Goswami and Nirmal Nayak. Amit Nayak and Dibya Samal are the choreographers.

The supporting cast includes Gurudev Maharthi, Priti Ranjan Pradhan (Bekaria Nuka), Madhusudan Mishra (Anna Comedy), Sridhar Mohanta, Nihar Samal, Amar Mahapatra and Rajani. Child artistes Hansharaj and Dhoon are also part of the film.
Amara Muzik is the official music label of the film.
Dandakali is scheduled to hit theatres during Ganesh Puja this year, with the makers hoping the film’s combination of devotion, drama and the theme of divine justice will connect with audiences.
