Odia film ‘Pratha’ to be released in different languages in August

The multilingual flick Pratha is now all set to be released in different parts of India in August this year. The movie will be released in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. It is in addition to its release in Odisha too.

The shooting of the Odia movie is now said to be complete. The makers are now planning to release it in August. Pratha features actor Swaraj Barik, Sheetal Patra and Simran Kaur in lead roles. The movie is directed by K Murali Krishna. The movie is meanwhile presented by Sanlisa Signature Films.

 

The movie’s shooting was undertaken in several pockets of Odisha, including Koraput, Similiguda, Kotia, and Deomali. Some parts of the shooting were also done outside too like in states like Chandigarh, Haryana, Jaipur and New Delhi.. The movie will be released in Odia, Punjabi and Hindi, sources privy to the release schedules and post-production said.

Simran Kaur is known for giving voice to the cartoon character Nobita in the famous cartoon show Doremon. Other notable roles in the film were played by Chaudhary Bikash Dash, Bobby Mishra, Yash Ahlawat, Ashu Sharma, Rabi Mishra, Satish Patel, Ilu Banerjee and others. In the movie, several actors of Punjab and Delhi have also worked.

The film showcases the story of an orthodox village in Odisha where following traditional culture is often sacrosanct. The reel life depicts how these age-old practices define the movie’s main characters. Fans are now all set to see romantic hero Swaraj in a different role in the movie.

The promotion is being handled by Creative Head and Media Planner Pranay Jethi, who said that movie would be released in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana also apart from Odisha.
