Historic Celebration: First Mega Odia 5 Star Film Awards Held in Dubai

Dubai: The spotlight shone brightly on the global stage as RR Events & Cine Production, in association with Odisha Samaj UAE, proudly presented the first-ever mega Odia Film Awards show outside India – The 5 Star Film Awards 2024.
This grand celebration of Odia cinema unfolded at the opulent Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Oud Metha, Dubai, on January 13, 2024. The 5 Star Film Awards 2024 witnessed a galaxy of stars, directors, entertainers, and performers who descended upon Dubai from the heart of Odisha.
The enthusiastic Odia diaspora, alongside the crème de la crème of Odia society in the UAE, packed the auditorium, creating an electrifying atmosphere filled with anticipation and excitement.
The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Shaikh Abdulaziz Ahmad, MD & Founder of Safeer Corporate Services and President of Commonwealth Entrepreneurs Club & UAE Goodwill Ambassador. Adding a touch of royal elegance, Her Excellency Laila Rahhal El Atfani, Goodwill Ambassador of The Royal House of Sheba Crown Senator, representing the Queendom of Sheba in Middle East Africa Affairs Senate, adorned the evening as the Celebrity Guest of Honor.
Eminent Odia actor and Member of Parliament, Prashanta Nanda, and Amiya Mishra, President of Odisha Samaj UAE, were present, along with Indian Consulate passport officer Mr. Sunil Kumar. The evening unfolded into a dazzling spectacle, stretching into the night, featuring power-packed performances by superstars from Odia tinselwood.
Prashanta Nanda was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, acknowledging his exceptional 50-year contribution to Odia cinema.
