Bhubaneswar: It seems there’s been some confusion surrounding the producers of the upcoming sequel to Bigul. Ajaya Paddhi, the director of the movie, took to social media to clarify the situation, warning fans about fraudsters claiming to be part of the movie’s production team.
He confirmed that the official producers of the movie are Debananda Behera, along with co-producer Arvind Sahoo, and anyone else falsely claiming to be involved will face legal action.
The sequel, Bigul 2, is expected to begin shooting in November 2025 and release in 2026 during Dusshera, in Hindi, Odia, and Telugu. Fans of the first film, which was released on March 29 Last year, will see the return of the original cast including Deva, Supriya, Prasanjit, Chittaranjan Tripathi, and Anubhav Mohanty, who will have a more prominent role in the sequel.
The first movie dealt with heavy themes like religious fanaticism and community resilience. *Bigul 2* will continue exploring these themes as the story delves deeper into the haunting mysteries of a village, all centered around the Bigul, a symbolic element tied to the goddess temple. Fans are eagerly anticipating the film, especially with the involvement of strong talent and the success of the original.
