‘Mahaprabhu Jagannath’ Trailer Unveiled Before 10,000 Devotees in Cuttack, Sets Record for Animation Film Launch

Cuttack/Mumbai, June 22: In a landmark moment for Indian animation cinema, the trailer of the much-awaited animated feature film Mahaprabhu Jagannath was unveiled before a live audience of more than 10,000 devotees during a spiritual gathering in Cuttack, Odisha, on Monday.

The event is being hailed as the largest physical trailer launch ever for an animated film in India.

The trailer was released by renowned spiritual orator Indresh Upadhyay during his Shrimad Bhagwat Katha programme, creating an atmosphere of devotion and celebration. As the trailer played on the giant screen, chants of “Jai Jagannath” echoed across the venue, reflecting the audience’s enthusiasm and spiritual fervour.

Addressing the gathering, Upadhyay congratulated the filmmakers and highlighted the importance of introducing younger generations to India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.

“Many congratulations to the entire team. In today’s world, it is important to connect children with their culture, their Gods and their traditions. Mahaprabhu Jagannath is not just a film; it is a bridge that connects future generations with devotion, values and faith. I invite families and children to watch this film,” he said.

Touted as India’s first pan-India theatrical animated feature on Lord Jagannath, the film combines world-class animation with a compelling narrative designed to appeal to audiences of all ages, particularly children.
Directed by Shripad Warkhedkar, the film features a screenplay and dialogues by Pallavi Sharma, while the music has been composed by Aviral Kumar.

Mahaprabhu Jagannath is slated for a nationwide theatrical release on July 10 in Hindi, Odia and Telugu, bringing the timeless story and spiritual legacy of Lord Jagannath to audiences across the country.
