Guruji Namaskar’ Teaser Released, Showcases Inspiring Story of a Teacher’s Fight for His Students

Bhubaneswar: The official teaser of the upcoming Odia social drama Guruji Namaskar has been released, offering audiences a glimpse into an emotional and inspiring story that celebrates the transformative role of teachers in society.

Directed by Jitendriya Pradhan, the award-winning film is set in rural Odisha and follows the journey of a dedicated school teacher who goes beyond the boundaries of the classroom to safeguard the future, dignity and aspirations of his students. The teaser highlights the struggles faced by the educator and his determination to bring about positive change despite overwhelming challenges.

Carrying the tagline, “A classroom. A pair of worn-out shoes. A teacher who refused to give up,” the film presents a powerful narrative of resilience, hope and social transformation. Through the story of one teacher’s unwavering commitment, Guruji Namaskar seeks to underline the profound impact educators have on individuals and communities.

The teaser release comes amid growing anticipation for the film, which has already earned recognition on the national film festival circuit. The movie received appreciation and accolades at several film festivals across India between 2024 and 2026 before gearing up for its commercial release.

Produced by Sanket Kumar Tripathy and co-produced by Illa Mishra under the banner of The Undergrads Production, the film’s story, screenplay and dialogues have been written by Sanket Kumar Tripathy. The music label for the project is Babu Bhai Production.

The film features Aman in the lead role alongside Sukumar Tudu, Shivanshi Sen, Ilu Banerjee, Gourabb Mohanty, Shruti Das Mohapatra, Sanket Tripathy, Susil Mishra, and Puspanjali Sarangi in key roles.
Ahead of its release, the film’s team has also undertaken a statewide teacher felicitation campaign, honouring more than 200 educators across Odisha in keeping with the movie’s central theme of respect for teachers and mentorship.

Guruji Namaskar is scheduled to hit theatres across Odisha on July 10, 2026.
