Bhubaneswar: The makers of the upcoming Odia film Shikar have officially unveiled the teaser of the much-anticipated thriller, offering audiences a gripping glimpse into a world filled with betrayal, justice, and revenge.
The teaser opens with the haunting lines: “Not every hunter carries a weapon… Some hunt with pain. Some hunt with love. Some hunt with betrayal. Once they were the prey. Now… the hunt begins.” The video sets a dark and suspenseful tone, hinting at an emotionally charged courtroom drama packed with mystery and intense confrontations.
One of the biggest highlights of the teaser is the character of Parimita Chowdhury, played by Elina Samantaray. The teaser showcases Parimita as a fearless woman fighting for justice for the character portrayed by Amlan Das. Her determined courtroom presence and emotional intensity suggest that she will play a pivotal role in uncovering the truth behind the film’s central conflict.
Directed by Mrutyunjaya Sahoo and produced by Sachikanta Jena, the film is backed by Moon TV Movies. The story, screenplay, and dialogues have been written by Priyabrata Panda.
Apart from Amlan Das and Elina Samantaray, the film also stars Supriya Nayak, Ankit, Tapas Saragharia, Pradyumna Lenka, Prashant Patra, Prabhati, Smita Mohanty, Avinab Singh, Gyana Hota, Pushpa Panda, Soham Singh, Mitu Mithun, and child artist Rishi in key roles.
The teaser further strengthens speculation that Shikar will blend suspense, emotional family drama, and legal battles into a layered narrative. The story revolves around a shocking family murder and the mystery surrounding the real culprit, with several characters trapped in a dangerous web of secrets and betrayal.
Earlier, the makers had released the first looks of Amlan Das, Supriya Nayak, and Elina Samantaray, each generating strong reactions on social media and steadily building anticipation for the film.
The project had commenced earlier this year with a grand muhurat ceremony at Balunkeshwar Temple, attended by the cast, crew, and members of the Odia film industry.
Slated for release on June 12, 2026, during the festive Raja Festival season, Shikar is already emerging as one of the most talked-about upcoming films in Ollywood.
