Raveena Tandon, MM Keeravani receive Padma Shri 2023

The Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour, was conferred on April 5 in New Delhi by President Droupadi Murmu.

Actor Raveena Tandon, Oscar-winning music composer MM Keeravani, tabla maestro Zakir Hussain, and singer Vani Jairam were awarded the Padma Shri from the entertainment industry. Photos from the event have been doing the rounds on social media.

Raveena and MM Keeravani were present at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi to attend the ceremony. While Raveena’s family was by her side on the big day, RRR director SS Rajamouli came to support Keeravani. The composer was widely decorated during the awards season in the US, picking up an Oscar and Golden Globe among many other honours.
