Bhubaneswar: The much awaited Rangashoor, the Prakash Films and Moon TV Movies Production released in 60 cinema halls across the state on Sunday.
A special premiere show was organised at Maharaja cinema hall in Bhubaneswar where stars and makers of the movie were present.
The Film worldwide distribution rights is taken by Sony Pictures and the film apart from Odisha also released in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Punee, Surat and Chennai.
The film showcase the story of a girl who wants to perform Bagha Nacha, a dying folk dance form, where the dancers paint their bare body with yellow and black stripes just like that of a tiger’s skin and attach a tail at their back to look like a tiger, but faces objection from villagers and society who thinks that it can only be performed by men.
The movie tells how a father-daughter duo tried to make the dance form alive. The film showcase the story of a dying dance form of the state Bagha Nacha and also tried to give the message of saving jungles and women empowerment through this movie.
Starring Suryamayee Mohapatra, Chaudhury Jayprakash Das, Chaudhury Bikash Das, Samaresh Routray, Subhasish Sharma, Jyoti Ranjan and Dipanwit Das Mohapatra among others.
The Makers had done extensive promotion of the movie in several parts of the state and also in different events such as Ekamra Utsav etc.
The movie is directed by Pratap Rout and produced by Sachikant Jena, Prashant Beura, Sunil Yadav and Pratap Rout.
