Nayanthara lands in legal trouble

Chennai: Jawan actress Nayanthara has landed in legal trouble.
An FIR has been lodged against her by the Hindu Seva Parishad for hurting religious sentiments.
In a complaint registered at Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, the organisation alleged that the actress insulted Lord Ram in the movie Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food.
Atul Jeswani of the outfit has said that there are many such scenes in the film, which insult Lord Ram. He also added that the sentiments of Hindus have been hurt by making inappropriate comments against the deity in the film.
According to Jeswani, love jihad has been shown in the film. While terming the film Annapoorani as anti-Hindu, Jeswani also mentioned that one of the artistes in the movie showed that Lord Rama used to kill animals and eat meat during his exile.
Meanwhile, the MP police have registered the case under relevant sections against the actress, director Nilesh Krishna, and producers of the movie. Earlier, a man named Ramesh Solanki, in Mumbai, also filed an FIR against the movie.

Solanki shared a statement on X asserting that the movie ‘promoted Love Jihad’. Meanwhile, speaking about the movie, Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food features Nayanthara, essaying the role of an aspiring chef.
