‘Monster’ Release Date to Be Revealed on Holi; Aaditya Mohapatra’s Fierce New Look Unveiled

Bhubaneswar: The makers of the upcoming Odia action film Monster have announced that the movie’s release date will be officially revealed on March 4 (Holi), building excitement among fans.

The announcement came along with a brand-new rugged look of lead actor Aaditya Mohapatra, unveiled on his birthday with the striking tagline:
“Not every hero is born… Some are forged in fire. This Holi, the Monster announces its date of arrival. 04.03.26.”

The shooting of the much-anticipated film is currently progressing at full pace in Bhubaneswar, with the team promising a larger-than-life cinematic experience for Odia audiences.

Aaditya, who made his debut in 2024 with the romantic drama I Love You 2, will be seen in a completely different, action-packed avatar in this project. The film is directed by Sudhanshu Mohan Sahoo, who also helmed Aaditya’s debut, while newcomer Dibyajyoti Tripathy plays the female lead.

Recently, the makers shared behind-the-scenes glimpses from the sets, hinting at high-energy action sequences and an ambitious production scale. In a first for the Odia film industry, the team is reportedly using a robotic arm film camera to shoot stylised action scenes, aiming to enhance the visual quality and technical finesse of the film.

The title of the film was first unveiled during Ganesh Puja celebrations last year, instantly generating buzz among fans and industry insiders. Interestingly, Aaditya has not only taken on the lead role but has also written the story and screenplay, making the project a personal milestone in his career.

Speaking about the film, Aaditya said,
“The screen will never be the same again. We, the team of Monster, promise to take you all on a ride like never before.”

The film is produced by Debraj Bidhar under the banner of Gopinath Motion Pictures. Shooting began in January this year, and the team is planning a grand theatrical release in 2026, with hopes that Monster will redefine action cinema in the Odia film industry.
