Bhubaneswar: The stars of upcoming Odia film Mantra Muugdha is set to celebrate Holi with fans at Prabasi Odia Rang Mahotsav 2026 in Bengaluru on March 4, adding excitement among Odia cinema lovers living outside the state.
The festival is being organised by the Odia community in the city and is expected to draw a large crowd for the colourful celebration.
Actors Sanoj Kumar, Bhoomika Dash, Dipanwit Das Mohapatra, along with producer-actress Barsha Patnaik, will attend the event and interact with fans.
The Holi celebration will be held at the open ground near Vagdevi Vilas School, Marathahalli, where the film’s team is also expected to share updates about the much-awaited movie.
The makers are likely to announce the release date of Mantra Muugdha soon. The film was earlier postponed, with filmmaker Anupam Patnaik confirming that additional time was needed to complete extensive visual effects and ensure a grand cinematic scale.
The film features a star-studded cast including Suryamayee Mohapatra, Bhoomika Dash, Dipanwit Das Mohapatra, Sanoj Kumar, Sarthak Bharadwaj, Manmay Dey and others.
Patnaik said the delay is aimed at maintaining quality. He noted that after films like Pratikshya, Gangs of Puri, and Karma, the team feels a strong responsibility to raise the bar for Odia cinema instead of rushing the project. According to him, the new release date will be revealed soon, promising audiences a film filled with thrills, magic and unforgettable moments.
Shot over nearly 50 days at the historic Dharakote Palace, the film showcases Odisha’s rich cultural heritage on a scale rarely seen in regional cinema.
Written by Anupam Patnaik and Roshan Bisoi, the story explores a world where belief and superstition intertwine, creating a narrative that is magical, humorous and deeply human.
With the team meeting fans during Holi celebrations, excitement around Mantra Muugdha continues to grow, making it one of the most anticipated Odia films of the year.
