Bhubaneswar: The makers of the upcoming Odia film Guruji Namaskar have announced that the film’s much-awaited teaser will be released on June 21, 2026, giving audiences their first glimpse of the festival-acclaimed movie ahead of its theatrical release on July 10, 2026.

The announcement has further heightened anticipation for the film, which explores the special bond between a teacher and a student while highlighting the invaluable role mentors play in shaping lives. The film promises an emotional and inspiring story centered on education, gratitude, and rural aspirations.

Adding a unique dimension to its promotions, the Guruji Namaskar team has embarked on a statewide campaign to honour teachers. Even before the film reaches cinemas, the team has travelled across Odisha—from remote villages to major cultural events such as Raja Mahotsav—to felicitate educators who have made significant contributions to society.

According to the makers, more than 200 teachers have been honoured so far as part of the initiative. The campaign reflects the core message of the film and seeks to recognize real-life mentors whose guidance has transformed the lives of countless students.
The team has also invited the public to nominate teachers who have made a lasting impact on their lives through the film’s official website.

Produced by Sanket Kumar Tripathy and co-produced by Illa Mishra under the banner of The Undergrads Production, Guruji Namaskar is directed by Jitendriya Pradhan. The film stars Aman, Sukumar Tudu, Shivanshi Sen, Ilu Banerjee, Gourabb Mohanty, Shruti Das Mohapatra, Sanket Tripathy, Susil Mishra, and Puspanjali Sarangi in pivotal roles.

Before its commercial release, the film earned appreciation on the national film festival circuit between 2024 and 2026, winning accolades and recognition at several prestigious events across the country.
With the teaser set to drop this Sunday and the film arriving in theatres on July 10, Guruji Namaskar is steadily building momentum while carrying its message of respect and gratitude for teachers beyond the screen.
