Global Handsome Treasure: Odia boy Sharang Patro crowned Mr. India 2023

Bhubaneswar, Sept 01, 2023: In a dazzling display of talent, charisma, and style, the Global Handsome Treasure pageant for Mr. India 2023, a prestigious national-level competition, recently concluded with Odia boy Sharang Patro being crowned as the winner.

Hailing from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Sharang Patro emerged victorious in a closely contested competition, ultimately winning the coveted title of Mr. India 2023 in the inaugural edition of the event.

The pageant which began in April 2023, saw participants from multiple states of India who were put through a rigorous selection process by a jury of veterans in the modelling industry. Out of the extensive process only 20 participants reached the finals of the pageant. The 3-day grand event was held in Novotel Hotel, Hyderabad, between Aug 25-27, 2023. The finals consisted of three challenging rounds – the talent, the ethnic, and the tuxedo round. Each round offered a unique opportunity for the contestants to exhibit their talents, cultural awareness, and sophistication.

Sharang Patro from Odisha was declared the winner, earning him the prestigious Mr. India 2023 title. Eminent Bollywood actor and model, Rahul Dev, judged the finale and presented the trophy to the winners. Sharang also received two additional titles, “Mr. One in a Million” and “Mr. Confident,”.
“Modelling has always been an interest which got lost somewhere when I joined a corporate job. Global Handsome Treasure felt like the right choice to restart the journey. Winning my first fashion pageant is a surreal moment.”, said Sharang who has a background as a tax consultant in a prominent corporate firm.

Sharang’s victory at the pageant not only brings pride to his home state of Odisha but also inspires countless young individuals across the state to follow their dreams.
