Anubhav Mohanty teams up with State Award-winning director duo for new commercial entertainer

Bhubaneswar: After the blockbuster success of Chhaki Suna, Odia superstar Anubhav Mohanty has officially signed another major project. The actor will collaborate with State Award-winning director duo Sisir Kumar Sahu and Peenakee Singh Rajput for an upcoming commercial entertainer, which will be produced by Niranjan Nayak under the banner of Tathya Production.

Sharing the announcement on social media along with a picture featuring Anubhav, director Sisir Kumar Sahu wrote, “A new dream. A bigger vision. A grand cinematic journey begins. Planning has officially started for our next commercial entertainer with Superstar Anubhav Mohanty—crafted for the big screen and every cinema lover. This is just the beginning. Stay tuned… the best is yet to come!”

The filmmaker duo has earned widespread acclaim for directing films such as My Sweet Housewife, Phalguna Chaitra, Murabi and Dalcheeni. They recently received the Odisha State Film Award for Best Director for My Sweet Housewife, further cementing their reputation as one of the industry’s most promising directing teams.

While details about the film’s title, cast and production schedule are yet to be revealed, the announcement has already generated excitement among Odia cinema fans.

Anubhav Mohanty was last seen in the blockbuster thriller Chhaki Suna and is also set to appear in the much-awaited film Raavan Next. His collaboration with the award-winning director duo is expected to be one of the most anticipated Odia film projects in the coming months.
