The movie marks the directorial debut of DOP-turned-director Subhranshu Das. The movie is based on Odia Novel ‘Nadabindu’ written by eminent writer Sankar Tripathy.
The novel “Nadabindu” is a masterpiece in Odia literature and tells the story of a young musician who struggles to establish himself in the world of classical music. The novel explores themes such as art, love, and the human condition, and has been widely acclaimed for its lyrical language and deeply philosophical insights.
The film “Pushkara” is expected to capture the essence of the novel and bring it to life on the silver screen. The movie stars Sabyasachi Mishra in the lead role and will feature a talented ensemble cast that includes Supriya Nayak, Ashrumochan Mohanty and Choudhury Bikash Das among others.
The film also starred Pintu Nanda who passed away recently.
The film is being produced by Ramesh Barik under the banner of Tarang Cine Productions. The music for the film is being composed by renowned music director Bibhuti Bhusan Gadanayak.
