Bhubaneswar: Actress Elina Samantaray has thanked audiences across Odisha for their overwhelming love and support as the Odia action-thriller Shikar entered its sixth successful week in theatres.

In a video message shared on social media, Elina expressed her gratitude to moviegoers for making the film one of the season’s biggest theatrical successes.

“Shikar proudly enters its sixth successful week on the big screen. This journey has been possible because of your love, your cheers, and your unwavering support. Every ticket you bought, every review you shared, and every recommendation to your friends helped make this milestone possible. From the entire Team Shikar, thank you, Odisha! The hunt continues… If you haven’t experienced Shikar yet, this is your chance!” she said.

Released during the Raja festival, Shikar has enjoyed a strong and sustained run at the box office, emerging as one of the most successful Odia films of the season.

Produced by Sachikanta Jena and directed by Mrutyunjaya Sahu, the crime-action thriller stars Amlan Das, Elina Samantray, Supriya Nayak and Ankit in pivotal roles. Elina’s performance as a lawyer has been widely appreciated by audiences, while Amlan’s action-packed role has also received praise.

Earlier, Amlan had hinted that the makers are considering a sequel, saying Shikar 2 would move forward if the film continued to receive audience love and support. With Shikar now entering its sixth week in theatres, expectations are growing that the successful run could pave the way for the next chapter in the franchise.
