Amlan, Elina Cast Their Spell as ‘Shikar’ Hits Screens During Raja Festival

Bhubaneswar, June 12: The Raja festive season got a major cinematic attraction with the release of Odia crime-action thriller Shikar, which premiered at Kesari Talkies in Bhubaneswar on Friday.

The film has already generated significant buzz among moviegoers, with audiences turning up in large numbers to catch actor Amlan Das on the big screen after a gap of several years.

The premiere was attended by producer Sachikanta Jena, director Mrutyunjaya Sahu, writer and lyricist Priyabrata Panda, lead actors Amlan Das and Elina Samantray, along with actors Ankit and Tapas Sargharia.

Members of the film fraternity, influencers, media representatives and crew members also attended the special screening.

Produced under the banner of moontv, Shikar promises a gripping mix of crime, thriller and high-octane action, making it one of the major Raja releases this year. The makers are optimistic that the film will appeal to audiences across age groups and emerge as a crowd-puller during the festive period.

The film boasts a strong ensemble cast featuring Amlan, Elina, actress Supriya and Ankit in key roles. While Amlan’s action-packed performance is expected to be one of the highlights, Elina’s portrayal of a lawyer is also being widely appreciated.

Veteran cinematographer Pratap Rout has handled the camera work, while Rajesh Dash has edited the film. Music has been composed by Baidyanath Dash, with choreography by Amit Nayak.

With Raja traditionally serving as a prime season for Ollywood releases, Shikar enters theatres carrying high expectations and hopes of delivering a complete entertainment package for festival audiences.
