Bhubaneswar: The makers of the upcoming Odia film Shikar have unveiled the striking first look of actress Supriya Nayak on the occasion of her birthday on Thursday, adding fresh momentum to the film’s growing buzz.
Sharing the intense poster, the team described it as the “fierce face of Shikar,” hinting at a strong and pivotal character. Extending birthday wishes to the actress, the makers wrote, “Presenting the fierce face of Shikar. Wishing our leading lady a very Happy Birthday… This hunt just got intense.”
The look suggests a bold and layered role, further deepening the mystery surrounding the film’s narrative.
Directed by Mrutyunjaya Sahoo and produced by Sachikanta Jena, the film is backed by Moon TV Movies in association with Sidharth Music. The story, screenplay, and dialogues have been penned by Priyabrata Panda.
The film features a strong ensemble cast including Amlan Das, Elina Samantaray, Supriya Nayak, and Ankit, along with several seasoned performers such as Pradyumna Lenka, Prashant Patra, and others.
Shikar promises a gripping tale centred around a shocking family murder, weaving together suspense, betrayal, and emotional drama. The narrative revolves around a central mystery—who is the real hunter and who is the prey—keeping audiences guessing as multiple characters become entangled in the unfolding events.
The project had earlier kicked off with a grand muhurat ceremony at Balunkeshwar Temple, attended by the film’s cast, crew, and industry members.
With music composed by Baidhyanath Dash, choreography by Amit Nayak, and cinematography by Pratap Raut, the film is shaping up to be a complete entertainer.
Slated for release during the festive Raja Festival in 2026, Shikar continues to build anticipation with each new reveal, and Supriya Nayak’s powerful first look has only intensified the excitement surrounding this much-awaited Odia thriller.
