Director Sudhanshu Mohan Sahoo shares behind-the-scenes fun as filming of the highly anticipated sequel to ‘Katak’ kicks into high gear.
Bhubaneswar: Director Sudhanshu Mohan Sahoo recently shared some lighthearted behind-the-scenes moments featuring lead stars Prem Parijaa and Kanika Mann from the sets of his upcoming film Ram Rajya. Reflecting on the experience, Sahoo said, “Days like this remind me why I love this. Great crew, solid work, and the kind of energy that makes filmmaking feel effortless.”
Ram Rajya, the much-anticipated Odia film and official sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Katak: Sesha Ru Aarambha, is produced by Pritam Kumar Sahu under the banner of Anasmish Productions. The action-packed drama brings Bollywood actors Rohit Roy and Kanika Mann together with Prem Parijaa—making his Odia big-screen debut—Abhishek Panda, and Poonam Mishra in pivotal roles.
Known for acclaimed films such as Bhaunri, Mayabi, and the original Katak, Sahoo describes Ram Rajya as a “massive action extravaganza Odisha has never seen before.” The first shooting schedule was completed in Kolkata, with striking sequences filmed at the iconic Ganga Ghat, and production has now moved to multiple locations across Odisha.
The original Katak ended on a gripping cliffhanger, leaving fans eagerly anticipating a continuation. With Ram Rajya, Anasmish Productions promises a larger universe, heightened drama, and adrenaline-pumping action.
