Bhubaneswar::Actress and producer Jhilik Bhattacharjee’s production house, Jhilik Motion Pictures (JMP), is celebrating its fourth anniversary. The milestone was commemorated with the team and employees, with Jhilik sharing glimpses of the celebration on social media.
“Jhilik Motion Pictures celebrated its 4th Anniversary—a milestone worth celebrating. Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey. Cheers to the team, the stories, and the magic we continue to create together,” Jhilik said.
JMP began its cinematic journey with the movie Kiss Miss, starring Swaraj Barik and Sivani Sangita. Since then, the production house has delivered several successful films, including Rudrani, Tora Mora Katti, Priye Tu Mo Siye, Dear Purusha, and Lahari, all of which performed well at the box office.
Their latest release, Lahari, premiered on September 12, 2025, earning critical acclaim at the Kolkata International Film Festival and the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. This project marked the first collaboration between JMP and director Amartya Bhattacharyya and his talented team.
Lahari is a heartfelt story of friendship, fatherhood, and coming-of-age, set against the stunning landscapes of Odisha. The film takes viewers on a visual journey through the state’s rich culture and vibrant eco-tourism destinations, celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit of the region.
The ensemble cast of Lahari includes Choudhary Jayprakash Das, Choudhury Bikash Das, Smruti Mahala, Dipanwit Dashmohapatra, Susant Misra, Swastik Choudhury, Zeinab Deor, and others. The movie is produced by Jhilik Motion Pictures and directed by Amartya Bhattacharyya.
Jhilik herself was last seen on screen in Dear Purusha, another JMP production. The film, directed by Jiit Chakraborty, featured a stellar cast including Partha Sarthi Ray, Sidhanth Mohapatra, Samaresh Routray, Amlan Dash, Devasis Patra, Bobby Mishra, Mahasweta Ray, Jhilik Bhattacharjee, BM Baisali, Ananya Mishra, Divya Mohanty, and Sivani Sangita. Dear Purusha explored the role and contribution of men in society while delivering a powerful message of gender equality.
