Zee Sarthak to do live telecasting of Puri Rath Yatra on June 20

Zee Sarthak will telecast the live procession of the world known Puri Rathyatra on June 20. The officials at the organisation have decided to start the telecast at 6am and continue the same till 5pm on the auspicious day.

Not only the Rath Yatra, but the Bahuda Yatra on June 28 will also be telecast at Zee Sarthak’s official channel, the channel said. Apart from that, the Suna Besha on June 19 and Niladri Beje ceremonies will also be telecast live at Zee Sarthak.

Actress Nanina Das will do the anchoring of this telecast for the channel. Moreover, many singers will sing bhajans during the Yatra. This includes an array of singers–Manmath Mishra, Subash Das, Sarat Nayak, Diptirekha Padhi, Asima Panda, Bishnu Mohan, Kuldeep Patnaik and Basant Patra.

Channel Cluster Head Samrat Ghosh and Channel Head Pratik Seal said the channel always focused on showcasing Odia art and culture, so telecasting the Rath yatra for the audience was a part of that. He said that the channel also has plans to conduct social programmes during the Rath Yatra, to keep higher engagement of the viewers.
