Utkal Cine Chambers of Commerce members Thursday filed a petition before the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) office demanding the cancelation of registration certificate of an organization under the same name granted to film producer Sanjay Nayak, aka Tutu.
The UCCC General Secretary, Prabhat Kumar Mohanty and other members alleged in their petition that the Section 12D of the Societies Registration Act makes it illegal to register two entities under the same name. So how other parties can took the steps to upgrade the organization without consulting the current office bearers. This is illegal as per the society registration rules.
We want to ask a question to Sanjay Nayak (Tutu) how can he declare himself as the President of UCCC. Because earlier he has himself become a petitioner and has appeared at the door of the Cuttack High Court (High Court) and has requested to stop the election of UCCC. It may be mentioned here that the High Court has directed the ADM, Cuttack to investigate the UCCC and submit a report to the High Court
In such a situation, when the said case was pending before the High Court, how, on the basis of prudence, he gave wrong information to the IGR and took away a certificate illegally. But there is a already registered body called USCC since 1993 and has been functioning ever since.
Today on 21-09-2023 (Thursday) at 11:00 p.m. in the court of IGR, the secretary of UCCC Prabhat Kumar Mohanty and the lawyer on behalf of the first registered firm applied to the IGR for the certificate granted to Sanjay Naik a.k.a. Tutu,. IGR has also directed the other party to take necessary action and furnish the facts.
