Controversial bollywood film by Vivek Agnihotri, The Kashmir Files won Best Film while lead actor from the ensemble Anupam Kher won Most Versatile Actor Of The Year for the same at The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards. The awards were announced on Monday.
Meanwhile bubbly beauty Alia Bhatt took the award of Best Actress for Gangubai Kathiawadi. Alia also accepted husband Ranbir Kapoor’s Best Actor award for Brahmastra.
Kantara, the Kannada sensation that was a breath of fresh air for indian cinema won Actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty the award for Most Promising Actor while Varun Dhawan got the trophy for Critics Best Actor for his film Bhediya.
Bong actor Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa won the Television Series of The Year award at the festival.
At the awards, veteran actor Rekha was honoured with an award for her ‘Outstanding Contribution In The Film Industry’. Meanwhile, Hariharan won an award for ‘Outstanding Contribution In The Music Industry’.
