State govt waives entertainment tax on Odia Movie ‘Delivery Boy’

The State Government of Odisha recently announced to waive off the entertainment tax for new Odia movie Delivery Boy. The proposal for exemption of the entertainment tax for the movie was on Monday approved by the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Directed by Ashwini Tripathy, the film is based on the life of a delivery boy and his struggle. In the movie, it is depicted how a delivery boy suffered a road accident and how with the help of co-workers he gets justice.

The movie also talks about road safety and tells a story which will impact every person. In the movie Shailendra Samantaray, Suryamayee, Buddhaditya Mohanty, Sushant Das Mohapatra and others could be seen playing key roles.

The Odia movie Delivery Boy is scheduled to be released on April 7. The trailer and first look of the movie were released recently to much fanfare and love. The movie is produced by Jyoti Ranjan Mohanty and presented by JRM (infyson Entertaiment)
