The red carpet premiere at Stutee cinema hall in Bhubaneswar turned into a star-studded affair, with fans gathering in large numbers to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars and witness the unveiling of a film that promises to leave a lasting impression.
Produced by RR Events and Cine Productions, the film hit the silver screens in 34 cinema halls across Odisha, with a simultaneous release in both Odia and Bengali languages — a strategic move that reflects the film’s universal themes and regional inclusivity.
Helmed by director Subhranshu Das, Aaji Ra Rebati is a period drama set in the early 1990s, chronicling the inspiring journey of Rebati, played by the radiant Sheetal Patra.
The film follows Rebati’s relentless pursuit of her dreams against all odds, painting a poignant portrait of resilience and determination. Joining her on screen is popular Bengali actor Bonny Sengupta, whose role adds emotional depth and a compelling twist to the storyline.
Speaking at the premiere, renowned producer Ramesh Barik shared his excitement: “We are thrilled to bring Aaji Ra Rebati to theaters, and even more thrilled about its bilingual release. This is a story that transcends language — it’s about courage, hope, and the fight for one’s dreams.”
Adding further dimension to the narrative is a powerhouse supporting cast, including Usasi Mishra, Pushpa Panda, Sukant Rath, Ravi Mishra, and Prithviraj Nayak.
The screenplay, penned by Shyama Prasad Mishra, pairs beautifully with the evocative soundtrack composed by Prem Anand, creating a cinematic experience that resonates long after the credits roll.
From heartfelt performances to a gripping storyline, Aaji Ra Rebati is already being hailed as one of the most impactful films of 2025 — a milestone for the Odia film industry and a celebration of stories that matter.
