Papu Pom Pom’s ‘Dustbin’ Hits Big Screens Across Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s beloved comedian-turned-filmmaker Papu Pom Pom has taken a thrilling leap into the suspense genre with his latest movie Dustbin, which hit 45 cinema halls across the state this Friday.

Dustbin is a full-fledged cinematic ride with Papu at the wheel, steering the project as director, lead actor, story and screenplay writer, and even music composer.

The red carpet was rolled out for special premieres at Sriya Cinema Hall in Bhubaneswar and Brundaban Cinema Hall in Cuttack, where fans and film buffs got the first taste of the much-anticipated thriller.

Produced under the PK Films banner, Dustbin is crafted on a modest yet promising budget of Rs 90 lakh. The film boasts a dynamic ensemble cast including Prachi, Sukumar Tudu, Dipanwait Das Mohapatra, Chaudhury Jay Prakash Das, Smita Mohanty, Jeevan Panda, and Aravind Sarangi, with Papu himself leading the charge.

The soundtrack, composed by Papu, features lyrics by noted Odia writers Nirmal Nayak, Deepak Jena, and Ranjan Nayak, and is brought to life by voices like Kuldeep, Antara, Anurag, Ananya, and Sritam Nanda.
Speaking at the premiere, Papu shared his excitement and confidence: “Dustbin is not just a film, it’s an experience. I’ve poured my heart into it, and I believe the audience will feel that intensity.”
