Bhubaneswar: The much-anticipated Odia film Mangalpur Diary has officially gone on floors, marking the return of the popular on-screen duo Amlan Das and Trupti Mirambika.
Directed by Sudhansu Mohan Sahu and produced by Pramod Kumar Swain, the film promises to blend engaging storytelling with strong performances and rich visuals.

Producer Pramod Swain, known for delivering several successful films such as Tu Mo Akhira Taara, De Maa Shakti De, Tu Mo Girlfriend, Deewana Deewani, and Aashiq, is once again backing a fresh concept-driven entertainer.
The screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Amit Kumar Dash and Pranab Prasanna Rath, while the film’s shooting began on October 6 and is scheduled to wrap up by the second week of January 2026. The makers are targeting a 2026 theatrical release.
Mangalpur Diary is expected to showcase an emotional yet thrilling storyline, capturing the essence of small-town life and human relationships.
Notably, Amlan and Trupti Mirambika were last seen together in Braja Singh’s ‘Samaya Kahiba Kiye Kahara’, which received appreciation from audiences for their chemistry and performances. Their reunion in Mangalpur Diary has already created excitement among Odia cine lovers.
