Bhubaneswar: Ollywood superstar Anubhav Mohanty’s much-awaited film Charidham is set for a grand release across Odisha on September 25, coinciding with the Durga Puja festivities. The film’s teaser will premiere on Saturday on the Rajshri Odia YouTube channel.
The newly released poster shows Mohanty as a porter (pithoo), one of the local laborers who carry pilgrims and their belongings on the challenging mountain trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath Temple. Sharing the poster, the makers wrote:
“They walk miles, carry burdens, and climb mountains not for themselves, but for the dreams of their child. This is CHARDHAM – A Journey Within.”
Produced by Camera Queen Production and directed by Tapas Sargharia, the film promises a visually stunning and emotional journey into the Himalayas. The cast includes Mamata Tripathy, Sukanta Rath, Ashish Kumar Das, and other notable names.
With story by Akhil Rautray, dialogues by Kumarshree Sahu, music by Somesh Satpathy and Baidyanath Das, and cinematography by Subrat Kumar, the makers have ensured a high production value. Choreography is by Girish Mohanty, while Suresh Pattnaik has penned the screenplay.
Shot across Odisha and multiple Indian states, the narrative revolves around the essence of India’s sacred Char Dham pilgrimage and aims to deliver a story beyond conventional formats.
Producers expressed confidence that Charidham will resonate with audiences both in Odisha and beyond when it releases this festive season.
