Ollywood Actresses Rally Behind Prakruti Mishra at Bindusagar Screening
Bhubaneswar: In a heartwarming display of solidarity, several leading Ollywood actresses came together to watch the newly released Odia film Bindusagar, starring Prakruti Mishra, and extended their support to the actress and the film.
Among those present at the screening were Elina Samantaray, Bhoomika Dash, Divya Mohanty and veteran actress Anu Choudhury. Their presence highlighted a growing spirit of unity and encouragement among women artists in the Odia film industry.
Sharing photographs from the gathering, Prakruti Mishra thanked her colleagues for their love and encouragement. “Women lifting women is my favourite genre. Watched Bindusagar with my Ollywood divas. Absolutely grateful for your unconditional love,” she wrote.

Bindusagar was released recently in 85 theatres across India, marking a significant nationwide release for an Odia film.
Produced by Mumbai-based Shiladitya Bora and directed by young filmmaker Abhishek Swain, the film represents the growing reach of Ollywood beyond regional boundaries.
The film tells the story of a girl who returns to Bhubaneswar from abroad to fulfil her mother’s last wish. During the journey, she reconnects with her roots, culture and identity, making it an emotional tale of belonging and self-discovery.
The movie features Prakruti Mishra in the lead role along with Dipanwit Das Mahapatra, Satya Ranjan, Sonali Sharmistha, Rabin Das and Jagannath Seth. With its fresh creative team and national release, Bindusagar is being viewed as another milestone for contemporary Odia cinema.
