Odia movie stars paid tribute to Basant Nayak
Bhubaneswar: Several stars of Odia film industry paid tribute to eminent producer late Basant Nayak on the occasion of his 86th Birth anniversary programme held recently at Jaydev Bhawan.
In the programme several stars of industry including actors Anubhav Mohanty, Arindam Das, Partha Sarthi Ray, Buddhaditya Mohanty, producer and actor Pradyumna Lenka and others paid floral tribute to his photo.
On the occasion they demanded naming of a road between Bhubaneswar- Cuttack in his memory.
On the occasion Basant Nayak Smruti Samman was given to veteran Producer Bijay kumar Patnaik. Several singers of the industry also joined the programme and sung several songs produced by veteran producer.
On the occasion Basant Nayak’s son Sanjay Nayak and Basant Nayak’s grandsons Rahul and Prem produced movie, titled ‘Cinema’ poster and teaser was released.
Basant Nayak was part of golden year’s of odia film industry and losing him was huge loss to the film industry
