Odia Movie Pratha Released In USA

Bhubaneswar: Odia movie Pratha released in USA on January 28. The movie produced by Sanlisa Patel and stars Swaraj Baraik in lead role is getting good reviews from Odia community in USA.

The Odi community gathered in large way at Apple cinemas Hartford USA to watch the movie. They said the movie made them nostalgic about their home Odisha.

Producer Sanlisa Patel in a video thanked the Odia community for giving live to the movie She said that many Odia population of USA had asked for the movie to release there so we decided to release it there.

She said the movie re-release date in Odisha will be decided soon. She said that the government had assured of taking decision on our demands and we are waiting for that.

Sanlisa Patel and others makers recently sat on protest and demanded fulfilling of their demands include -one cinema hall in each block headquarters, mandatory screening of Odia films in every theatre for a certain period, and formation of regulatory body to address producers’ grievances among others. It also includes streamlining of distribution systems and security of films and makers both on and offline.

After assurance from Industry Secretary Sanlisa and others called off their protest.

Sanlisa also informed that she is working in another project and very soon will share more details.
