Bhubaneswar: After overcoming several controversies, the new Odia feature film “Pari” is set to hit the big screen across Odisha on January 30. The film will have its premiere show at Swati Cineplex in Bhubaneswar and will be screened in around 20 cinema halls across the state.

The film is produced by Sanjay Mohanty and directed by Tripati Sahu. Dialogues have been penned by Dr. Rajani Ranjan, while music direction is by Japani Bhai.

Playback singers include Antara Chakraborty, popular western Odisha folk singer Ruku Suna, and Dr. Rohan Biswal. Lyrics have been written by Pramod Parida. Choreography has been handled by Amit Nayak and S.K. Muralidharan.

Actors Jyoti Ranjan Nayak and Anuradha Panigrahi play the lead roles in the film.
Pari is based on a deeply sensitive and socially relevant theme.

The story highlights the rising incidents of sexual abuse against innocent and tender-aged children in society. “Pari” symbolizes an innocent flower bud, cherished with dreams by her parents, but tragically crushed by the brutality of sexual predators. The narrative also reflects how money, power, social status and politics often weaken the fight of helpless parents. The film moves forward with a gripping question—does Pari finally get justice?

The story has been written by producer Sanjay Mohanty himself. Chandan Swain and Anil Baliarsingh are the co-producers of the film. Dhruvananda Panda (Litu) has worked as the Director of Photography, while editing has been done by Chandrasekhar Mishra.

Media planning and promotions are being handled by Creative Head Pranay Jethi. The film also features performances by Sritam Das, Neelamani Sahu, Pradyumna Lenka, Soumya Adhikari, Guddu, Jagannath Sahu, Naresh Rautaray, Niranjan Acharya, Bishal, Papi Santuka, and child artists Divyanshi and Sneha, among others.

With strong public curiosity and interest surrounding the film, the production team has expressed confidence that Pari will receive an encouraging response from audiences as it releases today across Odisha.
