Odia Film Chakranta Set for OTT Release on AAO NXT from April 29

Bhubaneswar: After a successful theatrical run, popular Odia film Chakranta is now all set to make its digital debut on AAO NXT on April 29, giving audiences another chance to watch the much-discussed movie from the comfort of their homes.

The film, which was released in cinema halls on February 27, received a positive response during its theatrical run and generated buzz for its socially relevant theme and engaging narrative. With its OTT release, the makers are expecting the movie to reach a wider audience, including Odia viewers living outside the state.

Starring Bhoomika Dash and Subhasish Sharma in lead roles, Chakranta marked the first on-screen pairing of the two actors, which became one of the highlights of the film.

Headlined by Bhoomika Dash, the movie follows the journey of a young woman who leaves home in pursuit of education and career opportunities, only to encounter temptations, negative influences and unforeseen challenges. The story explores how relationships are tested, how parental sacrifices often go unnoticed, and how life choices shape one’s future.

Directed by Pinu Nayak and produced by Saurabh Padhi, the film blends social realism with suspense and conspiracy, making it a gripping watch for audiences.

The ensemble cast includes Harihar Mahapatra, Chaudhury Jayprakash Das, Pradyumna Lenka, Dharitri Khandual, Surabhi, Soumya Satapathy, Shubham Padhi, Suman Mahanty, Kusum Tripathy, Pramod Raut, Tushar, Umakant, Niranjan Nirua, Punyatoya Mishra and Krishnarani Dash, along with a special guest appearance by Ashrumochan Mahanty.

With its move to OTT, Chakranta is expected to find a fresh wave of viewers when it starts streaming on April 29.
