Odia Devotional Song ‘Jay Durga Maa’ Earns PM Modi’s Praise

Bhubaneswar: An Odia devotional song, ‘Jay Durga Maa’, has earned praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the auspicious occasion of Navratri.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Modi highlighted the significance of the day dedicated to the worship of Goddess Kalratri and prayed for the well-being and prosperity of all.

“Today, during Navratri, is the special day for the worship of Mother Kalratri. May her blessings illuminate everyone’s life with new energy and fresh confidence. May there be prosperity for all by the divine grace of Devi Ma; this is the prayer,” the Prime Minister said.

The song features Antara Chakraborty and Jyotirmayee Nayak as singers, with music composed by Shreeman and lyrics penned by Prakash Chandra Jena. The song and its accompanying music video have been released on the Tarang Music Odisha YouTube channel.

Directed by Lubun-Tubun, the music video features Raj Mohapatra as Vishnu, Archita Sethi as Brunda, Abhijit Patra as Sai, Neha Nageswari as Shakti, Amar Chinchani as Adi, Subhashree Barik as Ambika, Satyajeet Behera as Shivansh, Simran Dash as Aradhya, Ayushman Behera as Prem and Jasmin Pradhan as Leela.

The devotional song celebrates the spirit of Navratri, a festival dedicated to Goddess Durga and her various manifestations.
