Nabakalebara Team in Berhmapur, Watched Film with Audience

Bhubaneswar: The Silk City, Brahmapur, has earned a distinguished reputation as a city of art, culture, and tradition. In this context, the team of the film “Shree Jagannathanka Nabakalebara” visited Rukmini, Payal, and Gayatri cinema halls in Brahmapur and watched the film together with the audience.

The film, based on the story of the sacred Nabakalebara (the ritual of the renewal of the deities’ bodies) of Lord Jagannath—our revered deity—has drawn audiences to the theaters in large numbers. The producer and director Bini Samal, producer Dillip Samal, executive producer Pranaya Jethi, actor Siddhanta Mahapatra (playing Bissar Mahanti), actor Shritam Das (playing Raja Mukunda Dev), Jyoti Nayak (playing Gajapati Ramachandra Dev), and Anshuman (playing Kalapahad), all watched the film in Brahmapur’s three major cinema halls along with the viewers.

The audience was overjoyed to see their favorite actors in person and took selfies with them. Watching the film left many emotionally moved. The film has been widely praised for promoting and spreading Jagannath culture.

Viewers from Brahmapur and neighboring cities came to watch the film. The Nabakalebara film team expressed to the media that they were heartened to witness the deep affection the people of Brahmapur have for Odia cinema.
