‘Mayabi Premika’ Song from ‘Dahaan – The Evil Within’ Released

Bhubaneswar, August 14: The makers of upcoming Odia horror film Dahaan – The Evil Within have released the official video song “Mayabi Premika”, adding a vibrant musical touch to the promotional campaign ahead of the film’s worldwide theatrical release on September 11.

Featuring Sanojj Kumar and Divya Mohanty, the energetic dance number has been choreographed by Dibya Samal, with cinematography by Deepak Kumar. The song is sung by Satyajeet Jena and Smrutika Padhy, with music composed by Ashish Pradhan and lyrics penned by Manoj Kumar Panda.

“Mayabi Premika” combines energetic vocals with guitar and shehnai arrangements, creating a distinct musical flavour. Blesson Naik has played the guitars, while Ghanshyam Chand has contributed the shehnai. Ashish Pradhan, Satyajeet Jena and Smrutika Padhy have also provided backing vocals.

The vocals were recorded by Roumyaj Pradhan and Chinmaya Das at TAG Mumbai, while Roumyaj Pradhan handled the mixing and mastering.

Dahaan – The Evil Within is written and directed by Anupam Patnaik and produced by Anupam Patnaik and Barsha Patnaik. Amara Muzik is the official music label of the film.

The horror feature, which is being promoted as a theatrical experience, stars Barsha Patnaik, Aurosikha Mishra, Samrat Mohapatra, Sijan Mohapatra, Partha Sarathi Ray, Choudhury JayPrakash Das, Nishant Majithia, Pranab Prasanna Rath, Navya Jaiti, Prasanjeet Mohapatra, Mohan Majithia, Debadutta Nanda and Amitabh Patra.

The film has already generated buzz with its official teaser and character reveals. It is also notable for being the first feature film to be shot at the historic Killa Dalijoda, a nearly century-old former royal hunting lodge in Odisha, where the cast and crew stayed for more than a month during the shoot.

The release of “Mayabi Premika” comes as the makers step up promotions for Dahaan – The Evil Within, which is set to hit cinemas worldwide on September 11, 2026, during the Ganesh Puja festive season.
