‘Jaga Pari Bhai Jagate Nahin’ to Premiere on Zee Sarthak on August 23
Bhubaneswar: Odia entertainment channel Zee Sarthak is set to bring a new family-oriented Odia film, Jaga Pari Bhai Jagate Nahin, to television audiences with its World Television Premiere on August 23 at 6:30 pm, ahead of Raksha Bandhan.
Inspired by the immortal bond between Lord Krishna and Draupadi, the film explores the idea that the true bond between a brother and sister is not defined by blood but by love, trust and sacrifice.
The story revolves around Jaga, a fearless delivery boy, and Barnali. After Jaga risks his life to save Barnali from danger, she ties a rakhi on his wrist as a gesture of gratitude. The moment marks the beginning of an unbreakable brother-sister bond.
As Barnali faces rejection from her family, difficult circumstances and problems in her married life, Jaga stands by her as her strongest support and protector. The film follows their struggle against betrayal and greed while highlighting courage, compassion and the strength of relationships.
R. Ranjan Panda, Bhakti Pattnaik, Udit Guru and Sonalisa Nayak feature in key roles in the film, which blends family drama, thriller elements and emotion with the message of Raksha Bandhan.
Speaking about the film, Zee Sarthak Chief Channel Officer Rahul Rao said the channel has consistently worked to showcase Odisha’s art, culture and family values through its programmes.
