Massive Crowd Greets Babushaan at “Bou Buttu Bhuta” Promotion

Bhubaneswar: Superstar Babushaan Mohanty visited Utkal Kanika Galleria Mall for the promotion of the film “Bou Buttu Bhuta” recently.

A huge crowd of fans had gathered to catch a glimpse of him. The entire area of Utkal Kanika Galleria Mall was transformed into a sea of people. From the ground floor to the third floor, fans were packed everywhere, enthusiastically enjoying the event.

Director Jagadish Mishra, producer Tripti Satapathy, music director Gaurav Anand, actress Anisha, Cookies Swain, actors KK, Udit Guru, scriptwriter M. Imran, and executive producer Sambit Jena were already present at the venue.

Superstar Babushaan arrived at exactly 7:30 PM and addressed the eagerly waiting crowd. Over 1000 custom-printed balloons were dropped from above as part of the event, which left the audience amazed.

The movie “Bou Buthu Bhoot”, released during the Raja festival and starring Babushaan, is on track to become a commercial hit. It earned ₹51.2 lakhs on the first day, ₹41.3 lakhs on the second day, ₹1.15 crore by the third day, and over ₹2 crores by the fourth day — a record in the Odia film industry. With over 230 houseful shows in and outside Odisha, the production team is hopeful the film will continue to perform well in the coming days.

The innovative promotional strategies for “Bou Buttu Bhuta” have been well received by the audience. Starting from Netaji Terminal in Cuttack, Babushaan and actress Archita began the film’s promotion by touring the city in a specially branded bus. Furthermore, a ‘midnight show’ was organized at Shriya Hall in Bhubaneswar even before the official release — a first in Odia film history. This experimental and unique promotional strategy by the producers and distributors turned out to be quite successful.

Presented by Babushaan Films and produced by Tripti Satapathy, “Bou Buthu Bhoot” was released across 61 theaters in Odisha. The lead roles are played by superstar Babushaan Mohanty and the evergreen Archita. Veteran actress Aparajita also plays a pivotal role in the film. Other cast members include Chaudhary Jayaprakash Das, KK, Ravi Mishra, Anugulia Bunti, and Udit Guru.

The film is directed by Jagadish Mishra, with story and screenplay by M. Imran. Dialogues are written by Pranab Prasanna Rath, and music is composed by Gaurav Anand. Rudrakant Singh is the Director of Photography, Sambit Jena is the executive producer, and Haraprasad Mahapatra handles promotion and publicity. The film is distributed by Prakash Films.

This horror-comedy suspense drama’s trailer, along with the songs “Dungu thili…” and “Oda Lage…”, has received a lot of appreciation from the audience.
