Bhubaneswar: The team of Mantra Muugdha has celebrated the film’s successful 50-day run in theatres by sharing moments of joy with audiences across cinema halls in Odisha. The celebrations marked what the makers described as 50 days of “smiles, love and unity,” reflecting the overwhelming support the film has received since its release on May 1.

Produced and directed by Anupam Patnaik under the banner of Amiya Patnaik Productions, Mantramugdha has emerged as one of the biggest success stories in recent Odia cinema. Continuing the legacy of the renowned production house, the film has won praise for its refreshing storytelling and unique cinematic treatment.

The success of Mantramugdha follows the achievements of Patnaik’s earlier films. His debut directorial venture Pratikshya brought national recognition to Odisha by winning a National Film Award, while Karma enjoyed commercial success. Now, Mantramugdha has further strengthened his reputation as a filmmaker known for content-driven cinema.
Unlike many mainstream releases, Mantramugdha was not built around a festival release or a superstar-led formula.

Yet the film has resonated strongly with audiences in Odisha and beyond. Its engaging narrative and departure from conventional filmmaking styles have helped it sustain a remarkable run at the box office.

The film remained unaffected even during the Raja festival season, when three major Odia films featuring leading stars were released. Strong word-of-mouth publicity and repeat viewership have continued to draw audiences to theatres, underscoring the film’s growing popularity.

The cast, featuring Sanoj, Manmay, Sarthak, Suryamayee, Bhoomika and Dipanwit, has earned appreciation for their performances. The film’s music, composed by Ashish Pradhan, Anurag Patnaik, Anurag Panda, Sangit Patnaik and Romiyaz Pradhan, has also been widely praise.

One of the highlights of the film is the song “Hajigala Kahin Baishi Kahna”, directed by Ashish Pradhan, in which producer Barsha Patnaik made a special guest appearance, impressing audiences with her dance performance.

The makers credited the film’s success not only to its content but also to its extensive promotional campaign. Special recognition was given to Pranay Jethi, Creative Head of Media Planner, and his team for their innovative publicity efforts. They also acknowledged the contributions of Executive Officer Gopal Chandra Ghadai and the Technoart Production Team for their dedication and hard work.

As Mantra Muugdha completes 50 days in theatres, the film continues to captivate audiences, proving that strong storytelling and quality filmmaking can triumph over conventional box-office formulas.
