Makers of Odia film Delivery Boy upset with cinema hall over removal from screening

In a sad situation, Odia movie Delivery Boy which was released in cinema halls on April 7, was removed from Maharaaj Cinema hall in favour of new hindi movie.

At a press meet at Press Club of Odisha on Monday, producer Jyoti Ranjan Mohanty, Creative Head Pranay Jethy, Co-Producer Rahat Mishra criticized the Maharaja Hall owner to remove the movie from screening despite it is doing well in the cinema hall.

Producer Mohanty said that despite the state government decision of exemption of entertainment tax from the movie, the hall didn’t exempt any tax on the movie he alleged.

Meanwhiile, according to sources the hall administration said that reason behind removing the movie from hall is the comment given by producer of the movie about the Maharaj hall not differently abled friendly.

The hall sources said that as per agreement with the makers the movie was screened for seven days in hall and removed after three more days of screening. Producer Mohanty denied this and said that they will take route of syndicate and law to know why the hall owner removed the movie from screening.
