Highly Anticipated Gangs of Puri Season 2 Official Trailer Released
Bhubaneswar: The official trailer for the much-awaited second season of Gangs of Puri was unveiled on Tuesday, generating excitement among fans ahead of the season’s premiere on April 23.
The new season will stream exclusively on the Kanccha Lannka platform, continuing the gritty underworld saga that captured the audience’s attention in its first installment.
The trailer launch event was a star-studded affair, attended by the show’s lead cast including Krishna Kar, Amaa, Chaudhury Jayprakash Das, Hara Rath, Rabi Mishra, Udit Guru, Dipanwit Das Mohapatra, Manmay De, Nishant Majhithia, and Ankita.
The event also saw the presence of producer Barsha Patnaik, director Anupam Patnaik, and Kanccha Lannka Chairman Akshaya Kumar Parija.
The new season promises to build on the chaos and drama of the first season, diving deeper into escalating gang rivalries, shifting alliances, and high-stakes confrontations in the coastal town of Puri during the 1990s. The plot will continue to explore the ongoing battle between the local mafia, led by Babu Jena, and the ambitions of a Bengali hotelier.
New cast members including Dipanwit Das Mohapatra, Nishant Majhithia, Soma Hota, Priyambada, and Manmay Dey will join returning actors Krishna Kar, Aman, and Choudhary Jayprakash Das in this action-packed season.
Speaking about the new season, director Anupam Patnaik revealed, “We have explored several new elements this season that we didn’t touch upon in the first one. There is a lot more to expect, both in terms of character arcs and the high-octane drama that defines the series.”
The teaser, released earlier on March 18, provided a glimpse of the explosive confrontations that await viewers, intensifying anticipation for the full season. With the series’ focus on local crime and its cultural connection to Puri, Kanccha Lannka aims to stay true to its mission of showcasing narratives that resonate with regional audiences.
