Ganda Bhairav to Release on July 16; Devasis to Surprise Fans with a New Look

Bhubaneswar: Fans of Odia actor Devasis Patra have a reason to celebrate as his much-awaited film Ganda Bhairav is set to release in theatres on July 16. Arriving during the festive Rath Yatra season, the film has already generated significant buzz among moviegoers across Odisha.
Devasis will be seen in the lead role opposite actress Sivani Sangita. The actor is expected to impress audiences with a completely new avatar, which has already drawn positive reactions from fans following the release of the film’s teaser.
Ganda Bhairav is based on the life of an Abadha Bojhiya, a traditional carrier associated with the culture and rituals of Lord Jagannath. The film weaves together elements of devotion, culture, romance, sacrifice, humour, anger, revenge and action, backed by a compelling storyline and melodious songs.
Directed by Sudhanshu Mohan Sahu and produced by Ramesh Barik, the movie features a strong supporting cast including Prithviraj, Asit, Pushpa Panda, Soma Bhowmik and K K.
The music for the film has been composed by Gaurav Anand, while the story, screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Shankar Tripathy.
The teaser, released on the Babubhai Production YouTube channel, has been well received by audiences, with many praising Devasis striking new look. The makers are optimistic that Ganda Bhairav will strike a chord with Odia audiences and emerge as one of the major attractions of the Rath Yatra movie season.
