First Schedule of Odia Film Ram Rajya Wraps Up in Kolkata

Bhubaneswar: The first shooting schedule of Anasmish Productions’ upcoming Odia film Ram Rajya has been successfully completed in Kolkata. Sharing the news on social media, actress Poonam Mishra wrote:
“And that’s a wrap of the first schedule of RAM RAJYA near Ganga Ghat, Kolkata… We are coming with something exceptional. Stay tuned, guys.”

Earlier, Anasmish Productions had announced Ram Rajya as a sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Kakak Sesha Ru Aarambha, making it the first-ever sequel in the history of Odia cinema.

The official title announcement video also introduced actor Prem Parijaa, a familiar face from the popular web series Commando, who will be making his debut in the Odia film industry with this project.

Sharing the teaser during the announcement, the makers stated:
“Anasmish Productions is ready to announce its next epic. Get ready for the biggest action extravaganza Odisha has ever seen. A movie that creates its own legacy—becoming the first-ever Odia film sequel. A staggering star cast will be revealed following the announcement.”

Directed by Sudhansu Mohan Sahoo and produced by Kumar Pritam Sahoo, the film aims to take the legacy of the original to new heights, promising an unparalleled cinematic experience.

The original film, also directed by Sudhansu Mohan Sahoo, featured an ensemble cast including Sidhant Mohapatra, Debasis Patra, Anu Choudhury, Poonam Mishra, and Chaudhary Bikash Das. It ended on a gripping cliffhanger—with a city in turmoil and the rightful heir yet to reclaim the throne—keeping fans eagerly waiting for the sequel.
