Bhubaneswar: During the second evening of the grand fair ‘Woder Fest’ organized for leisure shopping at Crystal Crown Convention in Patia, Bhubaneswar, the upcoming Odia film *Ananta*—set to release on June 12—was promoted enthusiastically. The promotion featured the lead actor Ananta, also known as Sabyasachi Mishra, actress Suryamayee Mahapatra, director Sabyasachi Mahapatra, veteran actor Pruthviraj Nayak, actor Tapas Sargharia, and media planner and creative head of the film’s publicity campaign, Pranaya Jethi.
More than 50 children, dressed as Ananta, lit up the stage with joy and fun. Visitors, who came for shopping and traditional food, were deeply engaged and attracted to *Ananta*’s promotional activities.
The inaugural ceremony of *Wonder Fest 2025* was officially opened by the Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Smt. Surama Padhy. The three-day festival, held from June 6 to 8, focuses on entrepreneurship, culture, and innovation, with a special emphasis on women-led MSMEs and startups.
Many dignitaries graced the event, including Odisha’s Minister of Fisheries and Animal Resources Development and Minister of MSME (Independent Charge), Shri Gokula Nanda Mallik. Other notable attendees included P. K. Gupta, Joint Secretary-cum-Ho, MSME-DFO, Government of India, Kamaljit Das, Joint Secretary, MSME Department and Chief Administrative Officer, Startup Odisha, Prabodh Raut, Director of Operations, SNM Group, Satwik Swain, General Secretary, OASME, Adikandha Raut, Joint Secretary, Finance, OASME, Jyotirmayee Mohanty, Chairperson, OASME Women’s Wing, Pratishruti Jena, President, OASME Khordha District Chapter
In his speech, Shri Gokula Nanda Mallik emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to nurturing the MSME and startup ecosystem in Odisha. He highlighted that since the formation of the current government, over 376 startups have received state support. He also announced plans to establish a dedicated MSME park for women entrepreneurs aimed at empowering and supporting women-led enterprises in the state.
Shri Satwik Swain, General Secretary of OASME, praised the active participation of both central and state governments in MSME development and reaffirmed OASME’s commitment to serving as a strong bridge between the government and the entrepreneurial community in the state.
Shri P. K. Gupta appreciated the efforts of OASME’s Women’s Wing in organizing *Wonder Fest*, uniting various departments for a common cause. He stressed the importance of intellectual property rights and urged MSMEs to protect and promote their innovations.
Shri Prabodh Raut, Director of Operations at SNM Group, encouraged entrepreneurs and participants to fully utilize platforms like *Wonder Fest* and pledged his continued support. He congratulated OASME for its leadership in promoting the MSME sector.
Shri Kamaljit Das stated, “We will explore all possible avenues to work closely with OASME and leverage its vast entrepreneurial network to make government schemes and benefits more effective for MSMEs.”
Summing up the essence of the festival, Smt. Pratishruti Jena, President of the Khordha District Chapter of OASME, said, “This program is for women, by women, and of women. The three-day *Wonder Fest 2025* promises business networking, cultural exhibitions, and interactive sessions that will undoubtedly create opportunities for MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, and startups in and beyond Odisha.”
